My Directing Philosophy

 A wise woman once told me, "We are human first". With this sentiment in mind, I strive to treat others with the kindness, compassion, and patience that I hope they grant me when I am directing.  A director inspires collaboration between designers, actors, and audience, I  want to use my creativity for the better of the world. To tell stories that need to be told. Theatre is not meant to be controlled by the director, but instead the director is the messenger between the actors and the audience. A director should not be closed off to the ideas or collaboration of others, but instead be the leader of the act of collaboration. I’m called to be a director and I can’t wait to help create stories that will affect audiences for years to come.
